Explorers Team Member
Description
Support and inspire young people aged 14–18 by volunteering as an Explorers Team Member with 4th Lewisham (1st Hither Green) Scout Group.
You’ll help run engaging activities, support Explorer Scouts as they develop new skills, and be part of a welcoming and supportive volunteer team.
Activities may include helping with games, outdoor adventures, leadership challenges, and skill-building sessions that encourage young people to grow in confidence and independence.

By volunteering, you’ll help enable more young people to take part in Scouting and benefit from opportunities that build confidence, resilience, and lifelong skills.
The skills you'll need
You will need to have the following skills in order to participate:
No previous experience is required — just enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to get involved.
Full guidance and support will be provided.

4TH LEWISHAM (1ST HITHER GREEN) SCOUT GROUP
Families, children and young people
We are a successful, oversubscribed Scout Group providing opportunities for children aged 4 to 18 years old.
Squirrel Scouts; 4 - 6 years They do crafts, games, song and dance
Beaver Scouts; 6 - 8 years They do craft, games and introduce teamwork and more outdoor activities
Cub Scouts; 8 - 10 years Their programme introduces leadership, teamwork and moves more outdoors doing hikes, camps and overnight stays.
Scouts; 10 - 14 years The programme includes lots of outdoor skills, camping and expeditions. They do a wide range of adventurous activity.
Explorers; 14 - 18 years Their programme builds on the skills learnt in previous sections and includes lots of outdoor activities, camps and expeditions. They are very successful in their Duke of Edinburgh award scheme.
