Shop Support Assistant

Join our friendly team and help keep our charity shop running smoothly!* We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable volunteer to support our team in the Cudworth Charity Boutique. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being active and hands-on. You’ll assist with displays, cleaning, and lifting items—supporting our wonderful volunteers who mainly serve on the tills. Your help ensures our shop looks welcoming, safe, and well-organized for customers, while supporting our mission to raise funds for Barnsley’s over 50s. ## 🧹 Key Responsibilities - Assist with shop displays — arranging and refreshing items to create attractive layouts - Support with manual handling, including lifting donations, moving stock, and restocking shelves - Carry out light cleaning duties, such as tidying displays, sweeping, dusting, and keeping the shop floor clear - Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for customers and volunteers - Work as part of a team and take direction from the Shop Manager

Good communication skills, patience, attention to detail

We are lucky enough to have a bus stop directly outside our shop, this stop services the 27, 27A, 32 and 38 from barnsley and arrive from the interchange in as little as 14 minutes.
