Social Media Coordinator - CHILDREN'S BOOK PROJECT

Description

This role would help design and post content on our social media channels based on content and images we provide. They would be responsible for interacting with comments and replies from followers

You will help us reach our target of gifting over 1million books this year to children who have few or no books of their own

You will need to have the following skills in order to participate:

Volunteering is currently open to people in England, Scotland and Wales. We're working to expand to other regions and will update GoVo when this changes.

The Children’s Book Project is a registered charity. We work with settings across the UK to redistribute thousands of new and gently used books to children and their families.

Reading for pleasure is the single biggest indicator of a child’s future success yet almost one million UK children have no books of their own.

Our vision is to create a fairer society where every child experiences the power of book ownership. We champion pre-loved and surplus books so every child grows up surrounded by stories and proud to be a reader.

Volunteering with us is an engaging and fun experience. We are looking for people that enjoy communicating with others, working as part of a team and helping to make a tangible difference to the lives of children and young people throughout the UK
