CITIZENS ADVICE SURREY HEATH

Financial wellbeing and consumer rights

We help people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice, and by influencing policymakers. Citizens Advice Surrey Heath is an independent local charity which holds the Advice Quality Standard accreditation and is a licensed member of the National Association of Citizens Advice.

We help people find a way forward We can all face problems that seem complicated or intimidating. At Citizens Advice Surrey Heath, we believe no one should have to face these problems without good quality, independent advice.

That’s why we’re here: to give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward whoever they are, and whatever their problem.

We are there for everyone When we say we’re for everyone, we mean it. People rely on us because we’re independent and totally impartial.

Last year, Citizens Advice Surrey Heath helped 5,500 people via telephone, email and face-to-face with around 18,000 issues.

We have over 40 volunteers working with us in a wide range of roles, including advisers, receptionists and campaigners.

As well as the direct benefits to our clients volunteering helps people to build relationships, networks and bonds of trust. It is widely recognised as having a positive impact on local communities, and is often described as the glue that holds communities together. It also raised individual’s aspirations, encourages community participation and is part of the Government’s vision for strong, active and empowered communities.
