Bid Writer / Grant Research Volunteer
Description
Drama In Mind CIC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bid Writer / Grant Research Volunteer to help identify funding opportunities and support the development of grant applications that enable us to deliver impactful creative arts, wellbeing, and community programmes.
This role is ideal for someone with strong research and writing skills who wants to make a meaningful contribution to the sustainability and growth of a community-focused organisation.
Responsibilities may include:
Researching grant and funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, businesses, and public sector funders Identifying funding opportunities that align with our projects and objectives Assisting with the preparation and drafting of funding applications Gathering information, statistics, and supporting evidence for bids Supporting the development of project budgets and funding documentation Maintaining records of funding opportunities, deadlines, and submissions Assisting with monitoring and reporting requirements where appropriate Working with staff and volunteers to gather information required for applications

By volunteering as a Bid Writer / Grant Research Volunteer, you will help secure vital funding that enables Drama In Mind CIC to continue supporting children, young people, families, and communities through creative, educational, and wellbeing-focused programmes. Successful funding applications can directly increase the number of people we reach and the services we are able to provide.
The skills you'll need
You will need to have the following skills in order to participate:
Strong research and analytical skills Excellent written communication skills Good attention to detail Ability to interpret funding criteria and guidelines Good organisational and time-management skills Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Previous fundraising, bid writing, or grant research experience is desirable but not essential
