Volunteer Support Worker - (For Project 'C.D')

Description
Drama In Mind CIC is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Volunteer Support Worker to support a creative play project for children in the early years age group. The volunteer will help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where young children can learn, explore, and develop through creative activities, play, storytelling, movement, and arts-based sessions. The role involves supporting session delivery, encouraging participation, assisting children and families where appropriate, and working closely with project staff and volunteers. Enhanced DBS and previous experience working with young children is required. Full induction, safeguarding guidance, and ongoing support will be provided.
The impact you'll have
By volunteering on this project, you will help young children develop confidence, communication, creativity, social skills, and emotional wellbeing through positive play experiences. Your support will also help families access welcoming community activities that promote early development and strengthen community connections.
The skills you'll need
You will need to have the following skills in order to participate:
Experience working with early years children, good communication and interpersonal skills, a patient and supportive approach, ability to engage children through play and creative activities, understanding of safeguarding and child wellbeing, reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude. ENHANCED DBS CHECK WILL BE REQUIRED.
