Group Volunteer

Description
Spend an hour a week supporting a local family group. Groups help to reduce isolation for parents and provide a space for children to play, move and interact with others. It’s a fantastic opportunity for you to meet new friends, learn new skills, have fun and make a difference supporting families in your community.

Home-Start Kirklees is a volunteer led family support charity offering early intervention support to vulnerable families with young children. Support centres on 1:1 home visits made by specialist staff & community volunteers. Volunteers are recruited, trained & supervised in a range of roles. We specialise in supporting young parents 14-24 years with peer support, 1:1 support & group activities.
