Home Library Service Volunteer - Reepham Library

Description
Share your love of books with other readers in your local community! Become a Home Library Service Volunteer and you could deliver books, DVDs and CDs to people in their homes, helping fight loneliness and isolation.
We need Home Library Service Volunteers to work alongside their local library to deliver and collect books, DVDs and CDs to people who are housebound or have mobility issues. The service is also a chance for regular, friendly social connection for someone where you can check they're safe and well, chat about books, listen to their preferences and report any concerns to the right people.
You'll need a friendly personality, with the skills to observe and identify possible areas of concern. You'll also need good communication and listening skills, with a non-judgmental attitude towards someone's circumstances and be able to keep things confidential. If you want to make new friends and be part of a team, this is a great opportunity for you. We've also got opportunities available for people with specific skills, so let us know your strengths when we meet.
