ID Check

Description

Do you enjoy making things happen? Are you organised with an eye for detail? You could lead a club or activity group, on your own, with a friend or as part of a team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to support some fun activities for residents in sheltered housing. They would love a range of activities from quizzes, carpet bowls, bingo, etc

Volunteer Coordinators run activities and offer important services based on their community's needs. We need volunteers to spend one or two hours a week leading a club or activity group on your own, with a friend or as part of a team. It's totally up to you what the activity is!

You'll need to be resourceful, as people will look to you for solutions, and be able to make sure the service runs safely and legally. You need to be tactful, always respecting the confidentiality of volunteers and the people who visit.

Being a Volunteer Coordinator will mean you get to grow your skills and experiences, be part of a team, meet new people and contribute to the work of Royal Voluntary Service. You'll also have the satisfaction of knowing you're making something happen for your community, changing lives for the better. We also have opportunities for people with specific skills, so let us know your strengths when we meet. You'll get relevant training for the role and will be welcomed and supported by a friendly, local team.

Are you available at any of these times:

  • Wednesday: 2hrs
  • Thursday: 2hrs

Additional checks required:

  • This role requires an address check
  • This role requires references

We will provide all necessary training to help you feel confident and safe when volunteering with us. You'll also gain access to our award winning e-learning site which provides a range of learning materials on a range of topics.

Come and join our team at Dundee Dementia Service!
