Micro Volunteer

Ongoing

Description

Small Acts. Big Impact.

Short on time but still want to help animals? Micro-volunteering is a flexible, easy way to support your local RSPCA branch – and even just a few minutes of your time can make a big difference! With no long-term commitment required, the role is centred entirely around your availability, be that 2 minutes or 2 hours!

Whether you’re at home, out and about, or catching up with friends, there are plenty of quick ways to get involved. How you can help:

Digital tasks

Share a Social Media Post/Appeal Reposting our content and appeals on your own profile or posting in local community groups helps spread the word and raise awareness.

Tell Your Friends

Encourage friends and family to follow us on social media or attend our fundraising events.

Vote for us in competitions/grants appeals

Just a few seconds of your time, and your vote could be the difference between us receiving a grant or not!

Physical tasks

Pop Up a Poster

Heading out for a dog walk or trip to the shop? Take a few posters and help promote upcoming events in your neighbourhood. We can email them for you to print out yourself, or post them to you!

Have a Clear-Out of unwanted gifts or bits and bobs at home? Items like unopened gift sets, alcohol, teddies, and jigsaws are perfect for our raffles and tombolas. Drop them off at any of our charity shops and let staff know that they’re for the fundraising team – or email gracewebber@rspcahalifaxhuddersfieldbradford.org.uk.

Distribute collection tins

Collect full collection tins for us and drop them at the branch office. Know a shop, pub or business that might be willing to take a collection tin for us? Let us know and help us raise additional funds and awareness across our branch area!

Collect donations

Requires a full driving license and a vehicle – help our team by collecting donations and dropping them off at our animal centre as and when required

With micro-volunteering, you decide what you do, when you do it, and how often. It’s the perfect way to support animal welfare around your lifestyle – no matter how busy you are. Join our regular mailing list and select the tasks you can manage in the time you have available.

Every little action helps local animals live safer, healthier, and happier lives.

The impact you'll have
