Tree Planting Volunteer

The Heart of England Forest is an exciting and ambitious charity, working to reverse centuries of woodland decline by creating and conserving a large broadleaf forest for the benefit of the environment, wildlife and people. It is a place of lasting natural beauty, protected and secured for generations to come.

Creating new woodland is a key part of our work. Our volunteers and staff plant over 100,000 trees each year, and since 1996 we have planted an incredible 2.2 million trees. However, there is still much more to do, and we need your help.

Join us during the autumn and winter months to help plant and establish beautiful broadleaf woodland, for the benefit of people and wildlife alike. Everyone is welcome, the more the merrier.

Planting Oppportunities - Winter 2026

This winter we are planting at a site called Eastern Hill, located near Astwood Bank, Worcestershire. We have 15,000 trees to plant between February and March 2026, and we would love to see you there.
