Description

As a foster carer, you’ll provide a loving temporary home for rescue rabbits while they await adoption.

This vital role helps us save more rabbits from neglect and gives them a safe, nurturing environment to thrive.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide daily care, enrichment and affection to foster rabbits
  • Ensure rabbits have a predator-proof space (minimum 60 sqft) to express natural behaviours
  • Supply food, hay and toys (starter packs may be available; vet costs are fully covered)
  • Transport rabbits to our approved vets when required (Highcroft Whitchurch, Vets4Pets Emersons, Watkins & Tasker)
  • Share regular updates and photos to support rehoming efforts
  • Follow our guidance on diet, enrichment and care.

The skills you'll need

You will need to have the following skills in order to participate:

  • Must be able to travel to our designated vets
  • Own transport or access to reliable transport
  • Willingness to follow rabbit welfare guidelines and provide a safe and spacious setu
  • Passion for animal welfare and patience to help rabbits build trust

All rabbits receive necessary medical care, are vaccinated and neutered, and live in loving foster homes until they find their forever families.

We also provide free advice and education on responsible rabbit care.
