Volunteer for Ballroom Dancing Session

Peaceful Place is a day centre for people of working age and older living with dementia. Our aim is to help our members live their best lives. We are seeking a dedicated volunteer to support our weekly ballroom dancing sessions, held on Tuesday afternoons. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys dance, values social interaction and wishes to help create an inclusive and enjoyable experience for our members. We need help: assisting members in following the instructor's direction, pairing with members to actively take part in the dancing session, offering encouragement and support to ensure members feel confident and engaged. You will be under the supervision of our member of staff and the dance instructor. You will need to have patience, enthusiasm, good communication skills and a willingness to take part in dancing. You will also need to be kind and empathetic towards our members. You will be supported in your role by both our member of staff and the dance instructor, who will provide guidance and direction throughout each session. If you can spare a few hours a week on Tuesday afternoons, we would love to hear from you. We have a friendly and welcoming team here at the Peaceful Place day centre and we will support you as a volunteer if you choose to help us.
