THE PEOPLE'S MOSQUITO LIMITED
Arts, culture and heritage
The main aim of The People's Mosquito is to build a de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito (aka the Wooden Wonder) and return her to flight in British skies. The 'Mossie' is very much the unsung hero of WWII, being the first true multi-role aircraft and even being able to outfly a Spitfire!!
Alongside the building of this iconic aircraft, we also aim to provide educational opportunities to encourage people from all backgrounds to get into the engineering sector, all while we are re-learning the original processes used during WWII ourselves.
Our third key aim is to honour and remember those who were involved with the Mosquito during and post WWII, including those who flew, fought and were lost protecting our country. We tell their stories and celebrate their heroic actions in our regular newsletters and at our events.
If you like the sound of any of this, then we want to hear from you!! We have lots of different opportunities to get involved, most of which are highly flexible and home based - so you can choose how much time to give and when to give it. You can do anything from website development to stock management, event support to content creation - whatever skills you have and whatever your experience is there is bound to be something for you so please do take a look at our available roles today. Thank you!!
