Description
- Would you like to use your digital skills to improve website visibility and make online content more accessible for everyone?
This remote volunteer role supports the ongoing development of website performance and accessibility. You will work alongside the web team to improve search engine visibility and ensure digital content is inclusive and compliant with recognised accessibility standards.
As a volunteer, you will carry out keyword research to identify relevant search terms, optimise existing content to improve rankings and accessibility, and conduct accessibility audits in line with WCAG standards. You will help develop ethical link building strategies and monitor website performance, using data to recommend improvements. This role offers practical experience while contributing to a more inclusive digital presence.
Location: Remote
Time Commitment: Approximately 2 hours per week, agreed with the Web Manager

We are looking for volunteers who:
- Have an interest in digital inclusion and improving user experience
- Have knowledge of SEO techniques including keyword research and content optimisation
- Are familiar with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG
- Can analyse website performance metrics and make practical recommendations
- Are comfortable working independently and remotely
- Communicate clearly and work collaboratively with a team
