  • Would you like to support people in your local community by helping at a busy foodbank?

Sneinton Foodbank, based at the William Booth Memorial Complex, provides practical support to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship. Volunteers help create a welcoming and respectful environment while assisting with the preparation and distribution of food parcels.

In this role, you will help make and distribute food parcels to service users and offer a friendly presence during sessions. This includes welcoming guests, engaging in conversation to help them feel at ease and preparing hot drinks such as tea and coffee. Your support will help ensure that each person who attends feels treated with dignity and kindness.

Location: William Booth Memorial Complex, Notintone Place, Sneinton, Nottingham NG2 4QG

Time Commitment: Thursdays for approximately 2 hours

The impact you'll have

Access to food is essential, but so is human connection. By offering both practical assistance and a warm welcome, you will help reduce isolation and ensure people accessing the foodbank feel respected and supported. Your contribution will directly support The Salvation Army’s work in Nottingham, strengthening community resilience during difficult times.
