We are looking for warm and enthusiastic volunteers to support our Activities Team in creating engaging and life enriching experiences for care home residents.

As a Volunteer Activities Support member, you will work alongside the Activities Team Leader to help bring connection, creativity and enjoyment into daily life. Through crafts, music, games, storytelling, gentle exercise and themed events, you will help create meaningful moments that enhance wellbeing and reduce isolation.

This role offers you the opportunity to develop skills in activity planning and delivery, make meaningful community connections and new friendships, and to be part of a service rooted in love and dignity

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference while gaining valuable experience in a supportive and caring environment.

Location: Villa Adastra, Hassocks

Hours: Flexible with a regular commitment of approximately 2 to 3 hours per week

The skills you'll need

You will need to have the following skills in order to participate:

We are looking for volunteers who have:

  • A warm, friendly and patient manner
  • Good communication skills
  • A genuine interest in older people and people living with dementia
  • The ability to work as part of a team and use initiative when needed
  • Reliability and a willingness to commit regularly

No formal experience is required. Compassion, consistency and enthusiasm are key. Guidance and ongoing support will be provided from our experienced care home team.
