As a Volunteer Charity Shop Sales Assistant at The Village Charity Shop & Café in Nunhead, you will support the Charity Shop Manager in the day-to-day running of the shop. You will help create a welcoming environment for customers while supporting visual merchandising, sorting and pricing donated goods, and ensuring the shop remains bright, clean and well organised.
Your role may include talking to customers and making them feel welcome, advising customers as they browse, supporting and improving visual merchandising standards, helping sort, price and prepare donated goods for sale, operating the till and handling different types of payment, answering customer enquiries, and maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
Location: The Village Charity Shop & Café, Nunhead Green, London, SE15 3QG
Time Commitment: Flexible between Tuesday and Saturday, to be agreed with the Charity Shop Manager

- Have good communication and interpersonal skills
- Are organised and methodical
- Are able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Have attention to detail
- Are able to listen well and take instruction
- Have basic numeracy skills
- Are friendly, reliable and willing to learn
You do not need previous retail experience. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
