  • Would you like to support young people in a safe, fun and inclusive youth club environment?

The Salvation Army Youth Club in Poplar is looking for enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to support the delivery of youth programmes and activities. The club provides a welcoming space where young people can build confidence, develop skills and enjoy positive social interaction.

As a Youth Activity Volunteer, you will assist with planning and running sessions, engage with young people during activities and trips and help maintain a safe and supportive environment. You will work as part of a team and follow safeguarding, health and safety and organisational guidelines at all times.

Location: Poplar, London

Time Commitment: Wednesdays 4pm to 6pm, with possible additional sessions during school holidays

Positive youth activities provide young people with opportunities to grow in confidence, develop social skills and build supportive relationships. By offering your time and encouragement, you will help create a space where young people feel valued, safe and inspired. Your involvement will directly contribute to strengthening youth provision within the local community.

  • Have an interest in The Salvation Army’s youth and community work
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Are reliable and committed
  • Show patience and a positive attitude
  • Are willing to complete an enhanced DBS check and required safeguarding training
