Description
Collecting food and money donations from customers at Tesco Batley. This involves giving out lists of our needs and collecting food donations or being responsible for a bucket to collect monetary donations.

A short walk from Batley bus station or commercial street, which is where most of the main bus routes stop

Free parking available for 2 hours. We can register your car if you wish to sstay longer

Poverty and social justice
We support local people facing hardship by providing emergency food parcels, ensuring families don’t go hungry and have access to essential items, such as toiletries, cleaning supplies, hygiene products, and even pet food. supplies, hygiene products, and even pet food. We operate on a referral basis, supplying enough food for three nutritious meals a day for an entire household, lasting a full week. But we do much more than hand out food.We work closely with local partners and referrers to find out why individuals need support and connect them with additional help, aiming to reduce long-term reliance on food banks. Food poverty is a complex challenge, and every volunteer plays a vital role in offering hope, compassion, and practical help to those experiencing stress and anxiety about feeding themselves and their families.
