Description

Volunteers with lived experience of gambling harms provide crucial emotional support, guidance, and encouragement to others on their recovery journey through our email support or our online communities.

The impact you'll have

Using your own lived experience, and the training provided, you will support people to explore their own situation, set personal goals, build their support network and explore the resources and support available to them. 

The skills you'll need

You will need to have the following skills in order to participate:

Lived experience of gambling harm, good listening and written communication skills, ability to be non-judgemental and demonstrate empathy and able to commit to a minimum of six months

We operate the National Gambling Helpline, provide treatment and support for anyone who is harmed by gambling, create awareness about safer gambling and treatment, and encourage an effective approach to safer gambling within the gambling industry.
