Shop and Friendship Café Volunteer

We are looking for volunteers for our Ruksak Plus Shop and Friendship Café

Although our core charity business works without charging our visitors, we still need to pay the bills. Therefore, alongside the shop we run the Friendship Café, which provides hot and cold drinks for free, with a donation for the next person.

Visitors can buy low cost new or nearly new items for very affordable prices and enjoy a drink and conversation at the same time.

Another feature is the ‘Prom Shop’ where young people who might struggle with the costs of hiring or buying that ‘special’ item of formalwear can get what they need for incredibly low cost.

Volunteering with Ruksak offers a rewarding opportunity to make a tangible difference to the lives of individuals and families living in Wiltshire. As a volunteer your time and skills can help us in our mission to help people achieve their aims in life. Your contributions as a volunteer will have a lasting impact on the lives of the people whom we support helping them to thrive.
