Stockton Heath Festival Fundraising Coordinator (Voluntary)
Description
We require a coordinator for Festival fundraising and sponsorship. This involves talking to existing sponsors to encourage them to sponsor us again each year and confirming which sponsorship package they would like. It also involves talking to other local businesses to encourage them to sign up as new sponsors, again agreeing which package. As you need to approach these businesses during working hours, the role would suit someone with availability during the daytime. You need to have good negotiation skills and the ability to approach people to talk about the Festival and what being a sponsor means. Established in 2008 by Tudor Pole and a small but determined group of volunteers, the independent Stockton Heath Festival takes place each summer over an extended weekend in July with one aim, to bring together the whole community to celebrate art, culture and heritage. It remains a proudly independent charity, fuelled by a strong community spirit!
Night and day, each year the village comes alive with the festival’s colourful sights, sounds and delicious food smells. As well as the many activities on the Festival Field, community venues welcome an eclectic mix of free and affordable activities for all ages and interests.
