Get involved in your community supporting young people!

We work with over 300 young people in Doncaster each year and with your help we can reach more. If you can spare at least one hour each week to mentor a young person we would love to hear from you. No experience needed, we will train you.

What does the role involve?
  • To work with young people in primary/secondary schools
  • To mentor those young people in a one to one set up as required
  • To help them understand the issues that are holding them back in their education and their relationships with others
  • To help them take responsibility for their own actions and for the need to change
  • To help them set targets for improvement and consistently encourage them to meet those targets
  • To use personal skills an interest to help enrich the experience of the young people
  • To acknowledge and celebrate each young person’s success and progress
  • To contribute to record keeping and evaluation processes
  • To comply with the policies of Worth Unlimited and the Schools, particularly in regard to Safeguarding and Child Protection

Our young people need consistency, please only apply if you can dedicate at least an hour a week to supporting.

Worth Unlimited is a national children’s charity embedded in local communities, whose mission is to create spaces where young people are heard, are valued and can grow.

We have 4 Branches delivering grassroots youth work. Across these branches, we deliver mentoring and counselling sessions to young people as well as running workshops, drop in sessions and open access work within our local areas. Our branches are located in Birmingham, Doncaster, Loughton and Waltham Forest, we also have a partner branch in Darlington.
